Why mail lands in spam

Inbox providers won't trust mail they can't verify. Three records establish that trust: SPF (which servers may send for you), DKIM (a cryptographic signature), and DMARC (the policy that ties them together). Gaps in any of them push your legitimate mail toward the spam folder — and let scammers forge your domain.

Common questions

What hurts email deliverability most?

Missing or misconfigured authentication — SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. If receivers can't verify your mail is really from you, it gets filtered to spam (or rejected). This test grades all three and tells you exactly what's missing.

Is this different from your DMARC checker?

Same engine, different lens. The DMARC checker focuses on anti-spoofing policy; this frames the same SPF/DKIM/DMARC checks as an overall deliverability grade — will your mail land in the inbox?

How do I actually improve my score?

Add the missing records: an SPF record listing your senders, DKIM signing on your mail, and a DMARC policy at p=quarantine or p=reject. On managed email (like Squish) all three are configured for you automatically — that's the fastest path to an A.
