Free Ways to Check Your Domain's Health in 5 Minutes
Your domain quietly runs your website and email, and small problems hide in plain sight. Here is how to check its health in a few minutes, for free, no signup.
Your domain quietly runs two of the most important things your business has: your website and your email. And when something is subtly off, a missing security record, an expiring certificate, a misconfigured setting, it usually hides in plain sight until it causes a problem. The good news is you can check on all of it in about five minutes, for free.
What is worth checking
- DNS: is your domain pointing everything, site and mail, where it should?
- Email security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC): are the records in place that keep your email delivering and stop scammers impersonating you?
- SSL certificate: is the padlock in the browser valid, and not about to expire?
- DMARC specifically: the record that quietly protects your whole domain from being spoofed.
Any one of these being wrong can send email to spam or leave a door open. All of them being right is the boring, healthy state you want.
The free way to check
You do not need to hire anyone to look. We built a free set of tools called the Tool Shed, no signup and no catch, that checks exactly these things and explains what it finds in plain language. Run your domain through it and you will know in minutes whether everything is healthy or something needs attention.
And if something is off
If a check comes back unhappy, that is not a crisis, it is just a to-do. Fix it yourself, ask Faber to sort it, or hand it to a human. The point is simply to know, because a five-minute check beats finding out from a customer that your email has been landing in spam for a month.
